The cycling industry has changed so much since I was a kid. My wife calls it a sign of the times. It's great to have such variety and technology to choose from but, trying to decide what to purchase can be frustrating - especially when you don't know where to begin. My suggestion ... start with Pearland Cycles.

Our staff is a unique blend of friendly personalities and each one has a genuine interest in customer service. We call ourselves "information brokers" because, quite frankly, that's what we do. We take the time to listen to our customers, ask a few questions and provide information that will allow them to be educated consumers. Our goal is to help you find the bicycle, components or accessories that best suit your needs.

So, whether you're looking to buy or just looking around, stop in a see us. You'll be glad you did.

Arne Pepin, Owner

Arne Pepin, Owner (aka - Long Haired Hippie)
Connie Pepin, Owner (aka - Miss Connie)

Arne started his cutting, grinding, fabricating, fixing obsession when he hauled a bike someone had thrown away home on his back, stripped it, restored it and used it to ride in a race - where he was the only person to finish. That was in the 7th grade and it was all downhill from there (cyclists prefer downhill, you see). Since 1995 Arne has grown Pearland Cycles from a 1200 square foot niche into a 5000 square foot show room and repair center. Aside from the bike shop, Arne has made Pearland his home and helped to found the Pearland Police Department Bike Patrol ... as well as actively serves on the Pearland Hike & Bike Trail Committee. He also operates Pearland Speedway, the local BMX racing track which he and his wife, Connie, opened in 2000. Come on in and meet Arne. He knows no stranger and he is always eager to help.

Connie left the corporate world to work with Arne at the shop full time ... trading her business suits/high heels in for jeans/t-shirts - and has never looked back. Connie does all the stuff that no one else wants to do (the majority of which involves enough paperwork to choke a hippo). She spends most of her time behind the scenes in the shop but, helps out customers whenever she can, referring to most everyone as "hun" or "darlin". She's also in charge of finding new songs for Cory to learn on his guitar (she loves music!). Connie and the crew have turned Pearland Cycles into a family affair where everyone is welcome.

Cory Cardenas, Shop Manager - (aka Old School Rules!)

Cory is a jack-of-all-trades. You name it, paperwork, repairs, sales, inventory, customer relations ... there isn't a job in the shop that he can't manage. He's passionate about cycling and has been in the industry for over 20 years. Cory has participated in nearly every venue of competition cycling - from long distance endurance events to short, fast BMX racing. Sometimes it's as if he wishes he was born with wheels instead of feet. Cory also enjoys spending time with his grandson (and can't wait to teach hiim to ride a bike!) and is quite a talented musician (plays the drums at his church). He's recently picked up playing the acoustic guitar - just in case we incorporate "Open Mic Night" at the bike shop ... hmmm, there's a thought!

Leigh Ann Simmons, Customer Service Assoc (aka - Miss Leigh Ann)

Our staff is comprised of a unique blend of eclectic personalities and Leigh Ann is the perfect addition. She's typically the first person to greet customers when they walk in the door and the first person to answer the phone. Leigh Ann helps with everything from locating product in the store to receiving and tagging inventory to ringing up sales. Although she's new to the cycling industry, Leigh Ann's enthusiasm and customer service skills are her greatest strengths. She'll be the first to tell you ...  have a groovy day!
